Samsung's Ch@t series of messaging handsets is about to get a new member to prove its messaging capabilities, the yet unannounced, but spotted, Samsung Ch@t 350 (C3500) comes with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

The phone measures 100 x 52 x 16 mm and is quad-band GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 compatible. Tagged as a mid-tier handset, the Ch@t 350 lacks UMTS or HSDPA connectivity.

The phone fails to impress when it comes to hardware specs, but for texting enthusiasts Samsung Ch@t 350 might be a good choice, especially for its comfy keyboard.

The C3500 is said to come with a rather small 2.4-inch TFT touch screen with 262k colors support and 240×320 pixels resolution.

The rest of the features does not make the phone stand out either: Bluetooth 2.1, FM radio with recorder, 2-megapixel camera, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 8GB), music player and microUSB 2.0 port.

It is unclear if the handset runs on Samsung's bada mobile platform or the C3500 is a simple feature-phone that includes one of the many TouchWiz UI versions.

Samsung Ch@t 350 is the fourth messaging device of the Ch@t series, along with three other models, the Ch@t 322, Ch@t 335 and B3410W Ch@t.

The four Ch@t series handsets come with uncommon features that differentiate them from each other. Samsung B3410W Ch@t and Ch@t 335 offer users Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g connectivity, while Ch@t 322 comes with dual SIM capabilities.

The Ch@t 350 (C3500) has none of the above, which makes it less appealing than its predecessors.

There is no information regarding the phone's release date or price tag, but this will probably add to the long list of Samsung devices that are expected to be announced next month at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Spain.
