Wireless carrier Vodafone UK announced recently the introduction of yet another rather affordable QWERTY smartphone, the Samsung C6625. The new device, also known as the Samsung Valencia, comes to the operator's users with a candybar form factor and a slim design, while running under the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system.

The device seems rather attractive, and can prove to be a good option when it comes to both professional and personal use. It offers easy access to e-mail, calendars and address books, and also provides great information management. In addition, the full-QWERTY keyboard enables users to easily compose text and instant messages.

Other features of the handset include the ability to easily and conveniently edit Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents, as well as fast access to the Web through the included Internet Explorer browser. At the same time, the device also offers nice multimedia features, including the ability to listen to favorite music via compatible Bluetooth headsets and headphones.

The specification list of the Samsung C6625 shows that it includes GSM 900/1800/1900MHz and UMTS 2100MHz connectivity, as well as GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA/HSDPA for data, a 2.6-inch QVGA display that boasts a 320 x 240 pixel resolution, along with support for 262k colors, and a 2.0-megapixel photo snapper that comes with video recording capabilities.

Other specs of the mobile phone include support for SMS/MMS/IM, email capabilities (IMAP4 / POP3 / Exchange), Bluetooth with A2DP, and 150MB of internal memory, coupled with a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space. The handset measures 113mm x 63mm x 12mm (4.4in x 2.4in x 0.5in) and weighs 109g (3.8oz). Its battery can provide 3.5 hours of estimated talk time, or 6 days of estimated standby time. Although listed on Vodafone's business site in the “coming soon” section, no specific launch date or price tag for the Samsung Valencia have been unveiled.
