Samsung creates slim and elegant mobile phones, we all know it and the company thought we should also know about its latest ultra-slim Bluetooth headset, the WEP500, which was launched yesterday by Samsung Telecommunications America. Only 7.7mm thick,
the new WEP500 has an appealing circular design and it's clearly amongst the smallest Bluetooth headsets ever commercialized and comes to provide perfect sound quality while featuring the latest Bluetooth technology. With innovative echo cancellation performance and noise reduction technology, the headset will allow users to have seamless conversations even in the noisiest circumstances. Also, the automatic volume control feature adapts the sound volume in situations when the background noise can negatively affect your conversation.

Compatible with any Bluetooth enabled device, WEP500 supports Bluetooth 2.0 and it's equipped with a jewel-case charger that's not only a desktop charger but also an efficient carrying solution for efficient protection.

The WEP500 costs $119.99 and it's available in three color options: shimmering dark blue, exclusively via Sprint, sleek chrome and black, at AT&T only and black with metallic silver trim available directly through the Samsung Mobile US website.

The Samsung WEP500 Bluetooth handset was first announced in March this year, at CeBIT 2007 in Hanover, Germany. And, after yesterday's US launch, a European one will probably follow, but there is no official information about when will this happen.

Besides WEP500, the Samsung Bluetooth product family includes other three devices: WEP210, with an ergonomic design, easy to use without needing an ear hook, supports Bluetooth specification version 2.0; WEP410, also supporting Bluetooth 2.0, a modern and compact headset with an elegant design, providing excellent sound quality for an improved hands-free experience; and the ultra-sleek WEP420, created in a joint venture with Bang & Olufse, packed with an exclusively designed charger cradle and offering simplistic usability.
