Samsung has been releasing smartphone after smartphone over the past months, but it can't be said to have slacked off on the PC market either. In fact, not long ago, the PC and handset supplier revealed the existence of three upcoming mobile PCs, the P80, P30 and NB30 Pro, based on Intel processors. Now, the company has decided it is time to make them available, which is why it has issued a press release containing all specifications and pricing and availability details.

The NB30 Pro netbook is the most affordable of the lot, but consumers will still get a durable casing with a water resistant keyboard, as well as a free fall sensor and a battery life of up to 6.5 hours. The actual specifications are not all that different from a regular netbook, with the 1.66GHz Atom N450 chip, HDD of 160GB and the 1,024 x 600 display. The amount of memory, however, is twice that of most entry-level portables (2GB instead of 1GB).

The 14-inch P430 and 15-inch P530 are based on the Intel Core i3 330M CPU with integrated graphics and boast up to 4GB of RAM, 250GB of storage space, 10/100 LAN, WiFi and a battery life of 4.6 hours. As for the 14-inch P480 and 15-inch P580, their matte casings, with 1,366 x 768 screens, house a Core i5 430M chip, a 320GB HDD, up to 4GB of memory, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth and a battery life of 4.4 hours.

“Business users have different computing needs including power, interconnectivity, and mobility to name just a few. Samsung designed these product lines with the practicality and performance needs of the business user in mind,” said Todd Bouman, director of product marketing at Samsung Electronics Information Technology Division. “The options provided by the Premium, Essential notebook and Specialized netbook lines provide a variety of options for all professional environments.”

The NB30 Pro, the P30 series and the P80 series all feature 0.3-megapixel webcams, are pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows 7 Professional and have starting prices of $519, $849 and $999, respectively. They should begin shipping by the end of the ongoing month.
