Long-awaited smartphone

Samsung Blackjack 2 is heading towards a US release at AT&T. Some official photos have already appeared showing the smartphone that bears the operator's logo. This Samsung SGH-i617 phone is listed on the upcoming list of devices for this carrier and should hit stores in the near future.

Many people have been expecting Samsung Blackjack 2 for some while now and these news that it will soon come at AT&T will surely be great ones for them. There are few devices coming from Samsung to also support full QWERTY keypad, which makes this one even more special.

This GSM quad-band phone runs on a Windows Mobile 6 operating system, which makes it clear that this is a pretty strong device. The phone also includes Pocket versions of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Internet Explorer Mobile to surf the Web and Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile to send emails. This makes it one highly reliable device, one of the strongest for taking care of business problems, even when out of the office.

The handset also comes equipped with an MP3 Player and Video Media Player to take care of the entertainment aspect. The user can store a great amount of personal data on the microSD card and surf the Web using the WAP 2.0 compliant browser.

One highly popular feature will surely be that Samsung SGH-i617 is also 3G enabled and can handle data transfer speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps. That is great for sharing music and receiving the needed information in time, the mobile way.

Samsung Blackjack 2 has been released for AT&T and should be soon hitting this carrier's stores, although an official date has not been specified by the operator. The price of the smartphone has not been disclosed either, although this will happen pretty soon, when the phone becomes available for purchase.
