Three weeks ago Samsung announced that the highly-acclaimed “Need for Speed Hot Pursuit” was available as a free download from Android Market for all Samsung Galaxy S II owners.

Although the promotion was only available in Europe, Galaxy S II owners in other regions could download the game via a third party application that would enable them to download applications that are only available in certain countries.

However, this method required root of the device. In the same news, Galaxy S users reported that the game was available as a free download for this model as well.

Today, Samsung Apps kicked-off another promotion for those who own a Galaxy device. Beginning today, they will be able to download for free a collection of 16 games that are available in the Samsung Apps.

Although Samsung mentions that these games are fully compatible with Galaxy S II, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Gio and Galaxy S Wi-Fi, it is likely that the games will work on other Galaxy devices as well.

Even though some of these game will only work on certain Galaxy devices, there’s a high chance that at least one of them will be fully compatible with all Galaxy family devices.

Samsung has yet to announce when exactly this promotion will end. However, until then, users can download for free one of the following titles: Air Penguin, Air Attack HD, Artillery Brigade, Bang Bang Racing, Bubble Fish, European War, Flip Flip Flip, Grow, Guru Planet, Paladog, Riptide GP HD, Roboto, Samurai 2, Sprinkle, Trial Xtreme and Zixxby.

We are pleased to offer our users a promotion which enables them to download popular apps, optimized to their Galaxy smart device, for free. The apps we offer will challenge game lovers, while also raising awareness about Samsung Apps as an exclusive destination for Samsung smart device users.”
