South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has started sending out invitations to an Unpacked Event set for September 4 in Berlin at the IFA 2013 trade show, where it is expected to make the new Galaxy Note III smartphone official.

No specific details on what will be announced at the event have been provided, but the handwriting on the invitation suggests that Galaxy Note III will be the star there, AllThingsD notes.

Furthermore, it also points at the fact that the smartphone will come with support for a stylus, the same as previous handsets in the series did.

Previous rumors have already suggested that Samsung was planning said launch event for IFA, yet the official confirmation on the matter emerged only today. The aforementioned invitation also unveils the fact that Samsung will stream the event live on YouTube.

Softpedia will be present on the floor at IFA, so keep an eye on this space for live updates and hands-on photos with the smartphone and other devices showcased there.
