On Monday, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics officially announced a partnership with Twitter for the release of a special version of the Vine application for the owners of Galaxy K zoom smartphones out there.

The handset, made official earlier this year and already available for purchase on various markets, sports a large, 20-megapixel camera with 10x optical zoom, and the new app iteration is meant to take full advantage of its features.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Vine allows users to easily watch, create and share short-looping videos, straight from their smartphones.

Courtesy of the high-quality camera capabilities, real optics, and premium design of the Galaxy K zoom, the new Vine app will enable users to easily record subjects, near and far.

The special version of Vine will arrive on Galaxy K zoom handsets with new buttons on the recording screen, allowing users to easily zoom in when creating vines.

As SamMobile notes, however, the app will most probably show these zoom buttons on the screen when detecting that it is loaded on Galaxy K zoom. Otherwise, it will be the very same app that other Android users out there can download and install on their devices.

The same as before, Vine will enable users to easily share their creations after recording them, so that their friends, family, and followers on the social networking service could enjoy them.

“With this latest collaboration, Samsung continues to demonstrate our commitment to innovation and supporting the needs of our consumers, including that of their creativity,” said Sun Hong Lim, senior vice president of Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics.

“The Vine app for the Galaxy K zoom capitalizes on the device’s advanced zoom camera features to further empower artistic expression and continue invigorating the mobile experience of our consumers.”

We should note that the Samsung Galaxy K zoom smartphone was launched with a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display capable of delivering a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.

The phone is powered by a hexa-core processor (1.3GHz Quad-Core + 1.7GHz Dual-Core) and sports 2GBof RAM, along with 8GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

Moreover, it features a front camera for video calling, a 2430mAh battery, and the usual set of connectivity capabilities and sensors. Samsung Galaxy K zoom runs under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system right from the start.
