Samsung Announces Simpsons Special Edition Phone

Samsung America announced that it is currently working with 20th Century Fox to design a limited release "The Simsons Movie" collectible mobile phone.

As one would expect, this special edition mobile phone will have a Samsung specific design, and will come in Simpsons yellow, featuring the movie logo and the words "Special Edition". I – personally - am looking forward to seeing a yellow Samsung phone, among Samsung's other cell phones that generally come in black. Apart from sporting the yellow color, the Simpsons Special Edition will be based, of course, on Samsung's slimmest, most advanced phones, and -although there is no information so far about the features - this phone will most likely not disappoint. As expected, the phone will also come pre-loaded with exclusive The Simpsons Movie content.

"Samsung is excited to be a part of the The Simpsons Movie with a collectible phone that embodies The Simpsons," said Dale Sohn, President, Samsung Telecommunications America. "The Simpsons Movie is a highly anticipated event that is sure to reach millions globally."

More announcements regarding the phone or the accompanying promotions will be made in the months leading up to the movie's theatrical premier on the 27th of July 2007.

And with a large number of special edition phones, released by various mobile phone manufacturers and already on the market, the Samsung Simpsons Special Edition phone will most likely fit right in, whenever it pops up, especially if it sports the ultra-slim design some people have grown to love.
