A new camera has been formally launched, one that can be found in Germany for sale, and probably in other countries by now. If availability is restricted to that one region, it can be assumed that Samsung will remedy the situation soon.

Called NX1100, the digital camera has a 3-inch TFT LCD VGA display on which the images about to be captured are shown.

The display also works for previewing video, using the options menu, etc.

The “heart” of the camera is a 20-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, with a light sensitivity of up to ISO 12,800.

Then there is the Wi-Fi support, the Remote Viewfinder and the HDMI output, plus the support for AllShare Play and Smart modes.

Samsung will start selling the NX1100 soon, for 599 Euro / $599-774 with Adobe’s Photoshop Lightroom and a 20-50mm i-Function lens.
