We have reported earlier this week that Samsung plans to roll out the long-awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy Ace 2 sometime in April.

Today, the folks over at SamMobile have published the first screenshots taken off a pre-release firmware for Samsung Galaxy Ace 2, which has been confirmed to be Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

According to them, the update should be ready to be deployed in March/April, though an exact release date has yet to be confirmed. We also expect Samsung to deploy the same upgrade for Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II next month.

Even though the handset maker already kicked off the rollout of Jelly Bean for Galaxy S II yesterday, it will take some time until it reaches all devices. Stay tuned for more updates on Jelly Bean for Galaxy Ace 2.
