Samsung ATIV S, the first smartphone that South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung unveiled to the world with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system loaded on it, is now said to have been delayed all the way to February next year.

Previous rumors suggested that it might have been delayed to January, yet it seems that users might actually have to wait a bit longer for it to arrive.

There’s no info available on whether the delay was caused by issues with the device or by a low level of orders for it, nor is there an official confirmation on the specific availability window for the smartphone.

Chances are that the phone will actually make it to shelves before year’s end, at least in Canada, where wireless carriers have reportedly already sent demo units to their stores.
