Samsung ATIV S may be among the least desired Windows Phone handsets available one the market.

The phone's price has been cut multiple times in various European countries, but the fact still remain that ATIV S is not selling well at all.

However, that did not stop Samsung and Microsoft to collaborate on the next software update for the ATIV S, which fixes some of the issues experienced by users.

This update is now available for download OTA (over the air), but given the fact Microsoft is pushing it OTA (over the air) in stages, it might take a while until it reached all Samsung ATIV S devices.

According to TELUS, this update addresses a critical lock-up issue during boot-up. It also includes a Qualcomm patch and removes the Family Story service.

That's all the changes mentioned but there might be some under the hood improvements that have yet to be detailed.
