One of the few smartphones that could actually compete with Nokia’s Lumia 920, Samsung ATIV S doesn’t seem to be among Windows Phone 8 enthusiasts’ favorite devices.

The ATIV S was launched in Russia several weeks ago and it was priced at around 24,990 rubles outright, which is about $820 or €630.

According to WMPoweruser, the folks over at WinPhonelive.ru have just learned the phone’s no-term price has been slashed by nearly $100/ €75 due to low demand.

Samsung ATIV S is now available for purchase in Russia via multiple major retailers for only 21,990 rubles off contract, which is about $715 or €550.

However, official Samsung stores in Russia kept upfront price uncut, so those who wish to purchase the ATIV S might want to check other retailers such as Euroset and Svyaznoy.
