Starting today, Sprint’s customers can take advantage of the features and capabilities of a new Windows Phone-based device, namely the Samsung ATIV S Neo.

Officially announced several months ago, the smartphone was confirmed for launch on this day earlier this week, and is now up for grabs through Sprint’s official channels, including its website.

The Windows Phone 8-based smartphone can be seen on this page on the carrier’s online portal, with a price tag of $149.99 (€113) attached to it, after the signing of a two-year contract agreement and a $50 mail-in rebate. Sprint also lists the phone with a full price of $449.99 (€337).

The new Samsung ATIV S Neo packs a 4.8-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) touchscreen display, while being powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor.

Furthermore, the device sports 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space.

“Cravers of connectivity will love its Live Tiles and People Hub to stay up to date on the people and things they care about most. Whether for work or play, the Samsung ATIV S Neo maximizes its Windows OS for seamless integration across devices,” Sprint notes.

The mobile phone packs a 2000 mAh Lithium Ion battery inside, capable of delivering up to 14 hours of talk time, and also offers support for the wireless carrier’s 4G LTE network.

The handset’s hardware specifications list also includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi hotspot, an 8-megapixel photo snapper with full HD video recording capabilities, GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors.

On top of that, the ATIV S Neo comes with all the features that Windows Phone 8 brings, including access to a great deal of apps and games through the Windows Phone Store.

“Stay connected, virtually anywhere. Create and edit documents on the go with on Microsoft Office Mobile, and then upload to SkyDrive cloud to store, share with collaborators or even play on Xbox Live,” Sprint explains.
