It looks like Samsung is still committed to Windows Phone platform, even if its latest ATIV S smartphone hasn’t been received too well by customers.

The South Korean company teamed up with AT&T to offer US customers the relatively new Windows Phone handset, the ATIV S Neo. The smartphone has been confirmed to arrive on the carrier’s airwaves on November 8.

According to AT&T, Samsung ATIV S Neo will be available for $21.00 per month with AT&T Next or $99.99 (€70) with a two-year contract.

The phone will ship with Windows Phone 8 platform out of the box, but there is no mention of Windows Phone 8 Update 3 (GDR3). If it’s not coming pre-installed on the smartphone, it will probably be available for download by the end of the year.

Hardware-wise, Samsung ATIV S comes equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and 1GB of RAM. It also packs 16GB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 64GB.

The ATIV S Neo sports a sharp 4.77-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and 308ppi (pixel density).

On the back, the smartphone boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front, there’s a secondary 1.9-megapixel camera. Last but not least, the ATIV S Neo comes with 5GB of free online cloud storage through AT&T Locker.

“We are excited to add the Samsung ATIV S Neo with its large, sharp 4.77” HD display and expandable micro SD memory to our best-in-class Windows Phone portfolio.

“The ATIV S Neo brings together Samsung’s sleek design, AT&T’s blazing fast 4G LTE network and the award-winning Windows Phone 8 operating system. Now, customers can get their favorite features all in a single package,” said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, devices, AT&T.
