The smartphone was initially available for $715/€550 outright

We reported last week that Samsung had decided to slash the ATIV S no-term price in Russia by $100/€75, so Windows Phone fans could purchase it for only $715/€550 outright.

Well, it looks like that marketing move had no effect on Samsung ATIV S sales in Russia, which is why WMPoweruser reports the South Korean handset maker decided to discount the smartphone even more.

Starting this week, Samsung ATIV S is available for purchase in Russia for 19,990 rubles off-contract, which is about $650 or €500.

Even so, the ATIV S seems fairly overpriced if we take into consideration that customers can grab it for only €300/$390 in Germany.

Samsung ATIV S is the only Windows Phone 8 smartphone that can rival Nokia’s Lumia 920 when it comes to hardware specs, but apparently it didn’t manage to do that well.
