Samsung Canada recently announced the Ativ S would be delayed for mid-December, though it did not offer any additional details on the reasons behind this decision.

We still don't have an exact release date for the smartphone but the folks over at MobileSyrup report Bell Mobility has just started to receive Samsung Ativ S dummy units, which suggests the smartphone is about to hit shelves.

Samsung Ativ S will be available at multiple Canadian carriers for around $600/€465 outright. No word on the subsidized price yet, but we expect more details on this one to emerge in the following days.

The Ativ S is powered by Windows Phone 8 and packs a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, which is complemented by an Adreno 225 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
