The A720 music phone got its FCC approval some time ago and it was expected to head Sprint's way. In the meantime it has been available on Canada's Telus.

Although it has not reached Sprint yet, photos of the actual Samsung A720 featuring the Sprint logo on the front means that the Sprint customers who are waiting for this phone will probably not be kept waiting long.

At a point in time, according to rumors, Sprint had decided to cancel the release of this phone.

The silver clamshell, designed to target music enthusiasts, features dual color displays, and a set of external media controls, including buttons for play/pause and playlist and a touch-sensitive scroll bar that allows an easier navigation through lists and songs.

A720 also comes equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash and digital zoom, video capture and playback, MP3 player, Bluetooth, stereo headset support, a 262k color internal screen with a 176 x 220 pixel resolution and a 128 x 96 pixel 65k color external display.

Measuring 84.6mm x 46.8mm x 19.8mm and weighing 96 grams, the small flip phone can last for up to 384 hours on standby mode and up to 210 minutes of talk time. Sprint is currently offering another music phone at the moment, the LG FUSIC, and with Samsung A720's release coming soon, Sprint customers will have two music phones to choose from.
