Mobile phone maker Verizon Wireless has just made available for purchase on its airwaves a new device that would offer users 4G LTE connectivity, namely the 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot SCH–LC11 from Samsung.

The new device is available for purchase from the wireless carrier's website with a price tag of $99.99 attached to it upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement and after a $50.00 online discount.

However, users interested in purchasing the new hotspot free of contract would be able to do so while paying $269.99 for the device.

As any other hotspot, the new product would offer Verizon customers the possibility to connect a number of Wi-Fi-enabled devices to the carrier's network through creating a personal access point.

“Introducing the Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot – the mobile Wi–Fi hotspot that takes advantage of Verizon’s 4G LTE network,” the wireless carrier notes on its website.

“Exercise your mobile freedom by taking your network connection with you, and share your air with up to five Wi–Fi enabled devices. Enjoy seamless transition between 4G LTE and 3G speeds while on the go. The Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot ensures that you’re covered when you choose to connect.”

As stated above, the new device is capable of connecting to Verizon's 4G LTE network. It also offers support for WiFi802.11b/g/n connectivity.

Sporting a MDM9600 chipset and 4G SIM Card compatibility, the new device also comes with a Service Status Indicator (LED) –4 Color, and can support a number of up to five Wi–Fi Enabled Devices.

It includes CDMA 1xEV-DO Rev. A/Rev. 0: 800/1900 MHz and LTE CDMA (700MHz) connectivity capabilities, measures 2.32”(H) x 3.54”(W) x 0.45”(D) and weighs in at 2.7 oz.

The Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot SCH–LC11 comes with a 1500mAhbattery inside, capable of offering up to 216 minutes of usage time, or up to 9 hours of standby time.
