Samsung is expected to kick-start its three-day Global Strategy in Suwon and Giheung tomorrow, to discuss events and strategies for 2014.

Ahead of the event, MK News has reported Sammy is betting on selling 65 million tablets in the year to come. The numbers sound quite huge (bear in mind that Apple has sold 14.1 million units in Q3 2013, according to IDC), but they shouldn't come as a shock.

Samsung has already announced it was planning to focus its efforts and creative endeavors on tablets in 2014. Earlier today I even reported that sources familiar with the matter from Korea said Sammy would most likely unveil four new tablets in 2014.

We already know the name of one, the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, which is going to be a budget slate, but other premium models are in the works as well. Under these conditions, Samsung has a good chance of being able to dethrone Apple in the year to come.
