Samsung Europe has just started selling across EU countries a new entry-level 11.6-inch model from the popular Series 3 lineup that is based on AMD’s dual-core E-450 APU and comes with a starting price of 370 EUR ($481.5 US).

The new Samsung laptop is known as the NP305 and the 11.6-inch LED backlit display that it’s based upon has a native resolution of 1366x768 pixels.

This is packed inside a simple and stylish chassis that makes use of an elegant brushed aluminum finish, while processing power is provided by an E-540 APU.

The AMD chip includes two computing cores with a base clock of 1.66GHz, 1MB of Level 2 cache memory and an integrated graphics controller.

The on-board GPU is known as the Radeon HD 6320G and it packs 80 shader units with a base clock of 500MHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 600MHz.

As far as storage is concerned, in the model spotted by Laptop Spirit this task is handled by a 5400RPM hard drive with a capacity of 500GB, which was paired with 4GB of DDR-1333 system memory (6GB maximum via two slots).

The rest of the features list includes a 0.3 Megapixel camera, D-Sub and HDMI video outputs, a multi-format memory card reader, stereo speakers with SoundAlive technology, as well as the standard Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity.

When unplugged from the power outlet, the Samsung NP305 relies on a 6-cell 44Wh battery for feeding its internal components. Including the battery, the laptop weights 1.21Kg (2.67 pounds).

The 370 EUR price tag, makes Samsung’s creations one of the cheapest 11.6-inch notebooks available to European buyers at this time, while the presence of AMD’s E-450 APUs makes it a great option for running media consumption tasks.
