At the moment, nobody knows if this is an April Fools Day trick but the word goes that Sprint is going to get its own
Samsung F300 Ultra Music handset under the name of m620 and, of course, with enough CDMA flavor to make all their customers go up and down in front of the Sprint retail stores due to their lack of patience.
According to what the sources say at the moment, this handset
is going to be an F300
clone with an added CDMA radio long awaited by all the Sprint users out there.
This also gives us a hint on what its spec sheet will look like so don't be surprised if it will feature a 2 megapixel digital camera, 100 MB of built-in memory, a 2.1 inch 256k colors TFT LCD display with a 176x220 pixels resolution, sweeping touch control, an FM stereo radio, a microSD memory expansion card slot with support for up to 2 GB memory cards, Bluetooth with stereo A2DP profile, USB 2.0 connectivity and, obviously, a multimedia player capable of playing MP3, AAC, AAC+ and WMA audio files.
As it seems and as it should be, the device will also sport the dual-face feature to be found on its F300 brother, with one side dedicated to the multimedia functions and the other filled with a regular
cellphone keypad.
Just so you won't be cursing Sprint anymore because it doesn't offer many choices when it comes to get a cellphone to use on their network (until now, most of the devices they had on offer were clamshell), it seems they prepared you all a treat and readied the launch of the first candy bar form-factor handset in a very long time.
If you plan to get one of these handsets, you should expect it to arrive on the shelves of a
Sprint cellphone retailers around April 1st but, of course, this will happen if and only if the rumors will prove to be true.
