Samsung is one of the mobile phone manufacturers that stands out in the design of its handsets when developing them. Throughout the last period of time, it has mostly rolled either very slim or very stylish cellphones.

The manufacturer is also very aware of the fact that, for some people, it is very important to match just about everything, including accessories, such as phones, with their clothes, and has released a new tri-band handset that is highly customizable due to its interchangeable faceplates.

Not a lot of details regarding this phone have been revealed at this time, but it does look very nice and since its design is the key feature, features are not all that important.

Its features will include 3G capabilities, thus a secondary camera for video calling, a 1.3 megapixel camera allowing users to take snapshots of whatever strikes their fancy, built-in Google search, a 2.1 inch internal color screen and a 128 x 32 external display as well as the Samsung specific clamshell form factor.

The phone is said to be the 3G version of E490 and was dubbed SGH-Z248. It will be available in a wide variety of colors that include pearl white, scarlet red, indigo blue, blue jean, sweet pink, glam gold and lemon green. Just so that it's even more fun and it has a choice of 6 different color backlights for the external screen, to match the faceplates.

The 'Anycall' branding on its front means that this phone will become available only on the Asian market at least for now. The Z248 was unveiled by Samsung Taiwan, with no information regarding its availability or price being made available until this point.
