The slates are available for $90/€70 and $100/€75, respectively

Salora is a new entry on the Indian tablet market. The company has just announced the immediate availability of Protab and Protab HD slates.

The cheaper of the two, Salora Protab comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box and costs only Rs 4,999 ($90/€70).

The Protab HD model is a bit more expensive, at Rs 5,499, but ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform onboard.

As AndroidOS points out, both tablets come pre-loaded with lots of goodies, including King Soft Office, IBIBO games and browser, Facebook and more.

The tablets pack 7-inch displays, VGA front-facing cameras, Wi-Fi, 4GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Salora Protab is equipped with a 1.5 GHz processor and 512MB of RAM, while the Protab HD packs a 1.2 GHz CPU and 1GB of RAM.
