Salora PowerMaxx was launched back in January with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system onboard, but Salora assured customers a Jelly Beat upgrade will be available for download at some point.

The company promised a few weeks later that it would start the rollout of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update on March 15.

The folks over at fonearena claim Salora PowerMaxx users should start receiving the highly anticipated update today.

The Jelly Bean update will bring lots of new features, improvements and services, including Google Now, Android Beam, enhanced search and more.

However, the main selling point of Salora PowerMaxx, as the name suggests, is the high-capacity 3200 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 22 hours of talk time and 430 hours of standby time.
