Robert Rodriguez has always thought of Salma Hayek when having a project in his mind.
After their collaboration for the Desperado films, Rodriguez couldn't find spot for the 39-year-old in Sin City, but he is ready to offer her a major part into the imminent follow-up.

"I always consider Salma for my projects, even for male roles", said the Texan director, who mentioned that "there is a character that suits her in this new movie."

Sin City 2 is due to appear in 2006. Until then, people will enjoy the DVD release of Sin City 1, which is set for August 2005. The story of Sin City revolves around a brute looking for those responsible for the death of his friends.
