Even if the exact date when Salma Hayek met and started dating Francois-Henri Pinault is not known to the media, the two have a beautiful baby girl together and, in the end, it seems that this was all it needed to get them back together. The actress married the PPR CEO over the weekend, on Valentine’s Day, in a very intimate ceremony, several media outlets are reporting.
Salma gave birth to daughter Valentina Paloma in September 2007 and, what with everybody saying that a child only makes a relationship much stronger, a few months later she and Pinault announced that they had broken off their engagement and, consequently, that all wedding plans were off. On February 14, the two finally tied the knot in a very intimate ceremony in the most romantic city there is, Paris, reports have it.
Apparently, the secret ceremony took place at the City Hall of the Sixth Arrondissement district in Paris. Moreover, to prove that this is not just a rumor, the marriage has already been confirmed by several media outlets. “The news was reported today by Le Point newspaper, which the entrepreneur owns, and later confirmed by Mayor Jean-Pierre Lecoq.” The Sun writes in today’s issue. This comes on the heels of several rumors claiming that the couple had gotten back together and was trying to work things out.
Just last week, Salma Hayek did a series of interviews in which she spoke of her and Pinault’s 16-month-year-old daughter, including her ability to see ghosts and speak in three languages to them. While on Rachel Ray’s show, Salma recalled a terrifying night in which she went into Valentina’s bedroom to find her talking to someone that was not there and addressing it in three different tongues – wherefrom her conclusion that the baby girl had developed a sixth sense.
“Last night she saw a ghost. I’m convinced. Last night she woke up and her eyes were open. And she’s looking at one specific point and she’s going, ‘No no no no, au revoir,’ which means goodbye in French… And she’s looking at someone, but there’s no one there. I was so scared, and I’m like, ‘Yes, au revoir, whoever you are, get out!’ And then she started saying it in English: ‘Bye bye, bye bye!’ I guess she was trying in different languages to see what nationality this ghost was to go away. It was terrifying!” Salma Hayek revealed on the show.
