Salix KDE, a GNU/Linux distribution based on Slackware that is simple, fast, easy to use, and based on KDE desktop environment, is now at version 14.0 RC2.

The developer of Salix OS KDE 14.0 RC2, The Salix OS Team, has provided two separate images for the 32-bit and 64-bit architecture.

Highlights of Salix OS KDE 14.0 RC2:

• The kresource-migration window pop-up has been fixed; • The desktop panel now features a clock; • The bottom panel size is now rearranged according to screen resolution; • The kdm background image is no longer darker than the desktop image; • libsoup and libgnome-keyring have been added to the basic list.

The provided ISO images are hybrid images, so users can either burn them on CDs, or use dd to transfer them to a USB stick.

Download Salix KDE 14.0 RC2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
