After showing off some fresh footage from Saints Row 4, developer Volition and publisher Deep Silver have just posted the game's official cover artwork, depicting the main playable character and two allies in the ruins of the White House.

Saints Row 4 continues the story from the previous game but takes all the outlandish elements up a few more notches.

The playable character, who's the leader of the Third Street Saints gang, is now the president of the United States. However, he is soon kidnapped by aliens and transported into an alternate reality.

While the aliens are quite powerful, the player can now wield different superpowers, which transform the open world game into a new experience.

In order to show off the outlandish premise, the game's cover has now been revealed, depicting the player sitting the ruins of the White House while all hell breaks loose behind him.

Check out the impressive covers for each version of the game below, and look forward to its release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on August 20, in North America, and August 23, in Europe.
