Saints Row 4 is set to receive a very special DLC next month in the form of How the Saints Save Christmas add-on, which adds Santa Claus to the game's virtual world. What's more, in order to promote the expansion, special contests are organized by developer Volition and publisher Deep Silver.

Saints Row 4 amazed many gamers back in August when it delivered an even more outlandish experience onto PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Those adventures were enhanced through new DLC and add-ons, including the Enter the Dominatrix one.

Now, developer Volition and publisher Deep Silver are getting ready to debut the How the Saints Save Christmas DLC for Saints Row 4 on December 11.

"Santa is trapped inside the simulation, but the Scrooge-like boss of the Third Street Saints can't muster enough festive spirit to save him. Can the Saints help the boss discover the true meaning of the season in time? A holiday classic for the whole family," the companies said in an official statement.

In order to promote the DLC, a special website has been set up, in which fans can engage in two different contests with different Saints Row-themed prizes.

The first challenges them to sing a special Saints Row version of Jingle Bells, while the second sees them suggest ways through which Volition staff can get on Santa's good side.

"Participants in the Sing-A-Long contest can submit a video of themselves (and their friends!) singing special Saints Row lyrics to Saints Row Jingle Bells. The best entries will be immortalized in a one-of-a-kind Saints Row video message, and all winners will receive a special seasonal gift from Deep Silver and Volition!"

Saints Row 4 will receive the How the Saints Save Christmas DLC on December 11 across all platforms (PC, PS3, and Xbox 360). Season Pass owners will get the add-on for free while regular users will have to pay for it $6.99 or €6.99.
