Saints Row 3: The Third, THQ's upcoming open world action shooter, has just received some more details ahead of the E3 2011 conference, including a release date as well as a computer-generated trailer, showcasing many of the characters that will appear in the new game.

THQ's Saints Row franchise, developed by Volition, broke out of its Grand Theft Auto-clone status with the second title, and now, with the third one, wants to really establish that sandbox crime simulators don't need to be extremely realistic, just very fun for the player.

We've already heard quite a lot of things about Saints Row 3: The Third and seen some out of the ordinary screenshots two months ago.

Now, with E3 2011 starting next week, Volition, the developer of the game, and THQ, the publisher, have showcased a brand new CG trailer, depicting many of the characters that will appear in the upcoming game.

While it's not a gameplay trailer, as many fans of the Saints Row franchise no doubt wanted, the trailer does hint at some of the outrageous things that will be a part of Saints Row 3.

"Today we're proud to show off the second ever video of Saints Row: The Third, featuring many of the main characters you'll encounter within the actual game," THQ said. "You'll want to play close attention to what's going on in the video, since the actual moves pretty quickly between each bit, but every slowdown moment has something to show. Featuring "Power" by Kanye West as the backdrop, this CG trailer is intended to show off some of the over-the-top gameplay moments. Remember, we're giving you control of the Saints at the height of their power, and you live the life to show for it."

What's more, THQ also presented the official release date of Saints Row 3: The Third, which will be out for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 15, in North America, and on November 18, in Europe and the UK.
