Saints Row 3: The Third has just received its first actual batch of screenshots, showcasing many of the features that will be included in the game, from character creation to the environments of Steelport, and even some artwork depicting the main antagonists in the upcoming title.
Saints Row 3: The Third is shaping up to be an extremely interesting title, with Volition, its developer, and THQ, its publisher, working hard to ensure that this will be the definitive Saints Row experience.
We've already heard quite a lot of things about the game, courtesy of a bigger cover story ran by Game Informer, but now we can finally check out some actual screenshots of the game.
As you will see in the variety of images below, Saints Row 3 keeps the same colorful approach to its gameplay, with characters doing all sorts of crazy things, including running away from explosions or wreaking havoc in the new location of the game, Steelport, with vehicles like tanks or attack helicopters.
There are also a few photos that depict the character customization screen, which now appears to allow players an even bigger freedom in the process of making their own custom character.
THQ and Volition also released a batch of artwork for some of the main villains in the game, and, as you would expect, their motivations are quite out of the ordinary.
Check out the descriptions of the main enemies below, as revealed by the two companies.
Phillipe Loren: the cold, calculating leader of the Syndicate.
Zimos: an old-school pimp who hates Morningstar and what they’ve done to pimping, mostly because they ran him out of business and pimping ain’t easy.
Killbane: leader of the Luchadores Mexican wrestling gang that has cornered the gambling trade in Steelport.
Angel de la Muerte: Killbane’s former tag-team partner. The relationship did not end well.
Matt Miller: leader of the Deckers and specialist in high-tech cybercrime.
