Saints Row 3 Gets Genkybowl VII DLC Next Week

THQ and Volition have just revealed the first actual details about Saints Row 3’s upcoming downloadable adventure: Genkibowl VII.

Saints Row: The Third impressed through its outlandish nature and the open world that let players do pretty much whatever they wanted, while going on a set of impressive adventures throughout the story campaign.

Now, for those who completed everything there is to do in the city of Steelport, the two companies are preparing the first add-on for the game, in the form of Genkibowl VII.

“It is known by many names: “The greatest specatacle in sports," “The most dangerous game,” and “Holy [redacted] I can’t [redacted] believe I [redacted] [redacted].” It is the one, the only, Genkibowl VII,” the studio revealed about the DLC.

For those who have yet to experience the over the top game, Professor Genki is the creator of a unique TV contest where players need to complete all sorts of outlandish and downright dangerous activities. While in the game you only get to shoot at people dressed as mascots, in this new add-on, the crazy factor gets considerably amped up.

“A genius in entertainment and mayhem, the man-cat Professor Genki has put together the most watched game show event on TV, Genkibowl VII. As a special surprise, the Professor has allowed his very own Genki Girls to theme the new games after themselves. Sail through the skies with Sad Panda Skyblazing. Genkibowl VII will be available for download on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, via Steam, PSN or Xbox Live, on January 17. The DLC will be free to those who bought the Saints Row 3 Season Pass, while others need to pay a certain amount that has yet to be revealed.
