The open-world sandbox game genre is a pretty big one, with quite a lot of titles promising to deliver the most realistic world to the players. However, as the Grand Theft Auto franchise has set the benchmark in regard to the most realistic sandbox experience, other developers can only try to bring something new.

That's the recipe that Volition tried with its second installment in the Saints Row franchise, which was launched for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in October. Now, after quite some time, it seems that the gamble paid off, as a lot of gamers were very pleased with the title because it didn't portray a realistic world, as GTA did, but one that was funnier and filled with interesting experiences.

Now, about 3 months after the console release, PC fans will be able to get their hands on a version made for their platform. Slated to be made available on January 6 in North America, not much is known about this version of the game in regard to new features or big changes. But, according to a blog post on the official forum of the game, the system requirements have been revealed, in order for PC owners to see if their rigs can handle Saints Row 2.
