Sagem Mobiles silently unveiled, last week at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the SAGEM my855C - a flip-phone with understated, elegant lines and the very latest in mobile technologies.

The SAGEM my855C is an ideal work tool and features HSDPA/EDGE dual mode that provides users with high-speed access to the best of the Internet (including WEB 2.0) and e-mails, but also Bluetooth technology for easy accessories connection. Far from being impressive, the handset includes 54 MB internal memory, which is expandable with a microSD card, that will allow users to store more stuff.

For optimum usability, the handset is fitted with a 2-inch high-resolution QVGA screen (TFT, 240 x 320 pixels, 262k colors) and an external LCD screen (96 x 64 pixels, 1.1 inches). Medium in weight (95 grams including battery), the device has an ideal size to accompany users discretely wherever they go (96 x 49x 16mm). With tri-band technology, the SAGEM my855C is a globetrotter with stamina. Its battery lasts about 300 hours on standby, 4 hours in talk-time, 2 hours and 30 minutes in 3G communication and 6 hours in music playback mode.

With its understated, elegant lines, it is as pleasing to the eye as it is easy to use, as personified in the direct music access buttons. The black and chrome model is packed with details that make it look like a gem: a screen with metal adornment, and stylish ergonomic silver buttons including a navigator providing intuitive access to the menus.

Its 2-megapixel camera with 5x digital zoom is perfect for sharing photos and videos with friends via MMS. Furthermore, the clamshell features a secondary VGA camera for video calls. For relaxation purposes, the phone has been fitted with a music player (MP3, AAC) that will help users to listen their favorite music, or they can surf the net with a WAP 2.0 web browser, and watch TV.

The SAGEM my855C is scheduled for release in April 2008 at a price that will be disclosed later on.
