Almost everybody knows Sagem as a cellphone manufacturer that used to launch on the mobile market low to mid-level handsets. But that state of facts has changed now so they came to the 3GSM exposition in Barcelona ready to demonstrate this to everybody and they did that by launching a number of handsets which will definitely find a lot of pockets to tuck in to.

One of the unveiled handsets is their myMobileTV device, a high-tech mobile handset offering TV playback through DVB-H broadcasting and a lot of multimedia features.

This clamshell phone is targeted at the market niche requiring top quality mobile video performance and, as you will see in just a moment, it is quite able to offer a pretty impressive experience.

Its spec sheet mentions a spin and rotate display that places itself in any imaginable position, an internal 240x320 pixels resolution 262k colors QVGA screen with IPS technology which will maintain the best image contrast and brightness regardless of the environment, viewing angle or lighting conditions, an external 72x96 pixels resolution display, a very useful TV mode access key, a built-in accelerometer that will automatically toggle the image between landscape and portrait modes in conformity with the phone's position.

It also features a 2 megapixel digital camera, with 8x digital zoom and camcorder capabilities, a multimedia player with support for most audio and video file types, 25 MB of on-board memory and a microSD memory expansion card slot, Java technology offer you access to the latest 3D games, Bluetooth connectivity with stereo A2DP profile and a battery life of 5 hours of talk time or 3 hours of watching TV.

Sagem's myMobileTV cellphone doesn't have yet an official price tag but one thing we know for sure: it will be launched on the market during the second trimester of 2007 after the wait for network broadcasting services will end.
