Not exactly worth spending a fortune on

Under other circumstances, this would be nothing but good news, since this is Porsche we’re talking about here, and it is probably the world's most recognizable name in the car industry. However, this time, unlike when it comes cars, some would argue that the German manufacturer made a bad call going with Sagem. Even if it isn’t so, one thing seems to be clear, and that’s that this phone will probably not meet the expectations of most wealthy or eccentric persons.

The P9522 is going to represent the German manufacturer from now on, so maybe it should have packed more features in it. Starting with the design part, just like with cars, we notice that this chapter hasn't been very well consolidated, for the look is not nearly as stylish, elegant or chic enough, or at least as sporty as it was supposed to be. We can't even begin to discuss combining all the earlier mentioned features in the phone's appearance. If a different device was what the two companies were aiming for while designing this model, then it was probably the wrong one.

There are, however, features that come to brighten up the perspective a bit, like the fairly satisfactory, 2'' touchscreen display complete with reinforced mineral glass, and the 5 Megapixel camera, which also brings this phone on the right “lane” once again. After mentioning the built-in GPS receiver, the Wi-Fi and the fingerprint reader, with this last having the potential of being a decisive feature for many, the overall impression nears what it should have been in the first place. Unfortunately, now, we learn that it has no 3G capabilities whatsoever and, to cap it all off, that this is where the list of noteworthy features ends.

All in all, this Sagem is by far not the best choice, as what really makes it more appealing is the Porsche name attached to it, which, for many, could be worth more than any phone feature or capability. Since it has been spotted at the FCC, the Sagem Porsche P9522 will probably be released soon in Europe and in the U.S., while we should expect the price to match the brand it is stamped with, meaning, around 600 Euros.
