Pratham Telecom, the company that distributes Sagem mobile phones in India, recently launched Sagem Bleu 454x, a slim and nice looking affordable handset. The phone comes after another two models that have "Bleu" in their name were released earlier this year by Pratham: Sagem Bleu my700x and Sagem Bleu my411X.

Sagem Bleu 454x has an elegant design and a weight of only 75 grams. With just 10.3 millimeters in thickness, it is one of the slimmest middle-ranged mobile phones on the market. In fact, it actually looks like a high-end phone, but without having high-end features. And, since India is a great market for middle to low-end phones, the new Sagem Bleu 454x will definitely be a successful model.

"The Indian market and potential for the mid range handsets is huge", declared Mr. Sajal Roy, Senior General Manager at Pratham Telecom. "Bleu foresees tapping a large chunk of the audience in this segment and therefore they introduced Bleu 454x in India."

The latest Bleu mobile phone is Java enabled, like the my411X model, this fact making it easy customizable. It supports GPRS and comes with enough user-friendly features to satisfy a wide range of customers: VGA Camera with video recording and playback, integrated music player, FM-Radio, MP3 and polyphonic ring tones, expandable memory with T-Flash and so on. The phone has, among other accessories, an extra battery and its memory can store up to 300 messages and 500 contacts, quite enough for a normal user.

Sagem Bleu 454x is available via Pratham Telecom for the price of 4699 Indian Rupees, meaning about 120 US Dollars or 80 Euro - a good price for a good looking phone. No word about a possible release outside India for this Sagem model, although I'm sure it would be welcomed on other markets, too.
