If you are an avid book reader but previous eReaders available out there are a bit to large for you to carry around, then Sagem Wireless may as well have the solution for you, its Binder e-Book reader coming packed full of features at an attractive €199 price point.

If you take a quick look among the Binder's specifications the first thing you will notice is this eReader features both WiFi and 3G connectivity, a rare feat for a device so competitively priced, the Binder also featuring 2GB of internal storage disk space (upgradeable via a microSD slot) as well as an 6-inch e-paper capacitative touchscreen.

Thanks to this the Binder comes with full note taking capabilities using a virtual keyboard, Sagem's eReader also featuring a long battery life, equivalent to over 8000 page turns.

And since all these features are packed inside a compact, 152x123x10.7mm sized device, that is actually smaller than an average paperback book, you can most certainly take the Binder anywhere with you.

“The eReader market has developed quickly but until now has been plagued by a simple trade-off – do you want a smaller form factor and less features, or a fully connected experience but with a device that is no longer pocket-sized?” said Jérôme Nadel, EVP Marketing & User Experience, Sagem Wireless.

“By focusing on the user experience and using the latest technology, we have developed a device that solves this conundrum.

The Binder product combines 3G and WiFi with a feature-rich experience to deliver a true connected lifestyle device,” concluded the company rep.

Supporting a wide range of file formats as well as MP3s and Adobe DRM documents, the Binder is available from FNAC, the leading French retailer, as the “FnacBook” complete with WiFi and free 3G from the mobile operator SFR.

Sometime in November this will also become available through Telecom Italia, as part of its digital publishing and eBook project, but, at this time, it's still uncertain if the Binder would actually come to other parts of the world.
