The popular web browser Safari gets a new security update for the Mac OS X version along with the recently-released improvement for the entire system. Safari Beta 3.0.2 for Mac OS X includes the latest security updates for the browser and corrects an issue that closed the application when the parent controls were enabled for an active account. Also, it fixes a flaw that unexpectedly closed the program when the user tried to send a headline from Google Reader through the email.

"There may be missing quoted text when replying to an email message containing HTML. Spaces might not appear when when typed at the beginning of a line, when replying to an email message containing HTML. Improves stability of Mail. An issue in which incoming iChat messages could be delayed," Apple described some of the issues with Safari for Mac OS X.

A few weeks ago, Apple debuted Safari for Windows, a special version of the famous browser that is now compatible with Microsoft's operating system. Although the Cupertino company wanted to make Safari the most popular Windows browser, it was forced to release an updated version after a few days because the number of the security complaints was quite shocking.

Steve Jobs, Google CEO, presented Safari for Windows as the perfect browser for the Microsoft operating system as it managed to obtain better loading times than both Internet Explorer and Mozilla's Firefox. However, both versions of Safari, for Windows and Mac OS X, proved us that Apple's browser can be vulnerable to attacks just like any other web-browser currently available on the Internet.
