Robin Thicke has hit rock bottom. He has a new album out, which he wrote and recorded in a little over 3 months after estranged wife Paula Patton told him that she wanted a divorce because he (allegedly) cheated on her, sales for it are disastrous, reviews are terrible, and he’s forced to push it by striking deals with flower delivery companies.

In all fairness, it could be that this new stunt has happened without Thicke’s consent, though it’s unlikely, because 1-800-Flowers would probably not risk getting sued. The online flower delivery company is promising a free download of the entire “Paula” album with each purchase from their “I’m Sorry” category.

They have even named it after Robin Thicke’s most recent single, “Get Her Back,” and they promise the loved one you wronged and to whom you apologize with flowers, candy / stuffed animals, and Robin’s music will most definitely take you back.

That’s probably what Robin thought too, when he set out to do all his dirty laundry in public, after Paula made it clear to him that she wanted nothing more to do with him. So far, it hasn’t worked for him.

Whether you’re willing to give it a go and see if you’re any luckier, it’s entirely up to you.

Artists often strike all kinds of deals to promote their music, but this is probably a first. While Thicke was the biggest name in pop in 2013, his “Paula” barely managed to make an impression upon release, let alone the splash he and his record label were hoping for.

US sales were decent, though underwhelming compared to his previous release. In the UK and Australia, Thicke got exactly zero love from the public, with his album moving 530 and under 50 copies, respectively.

To add insult to injury, Paula still hasn’t taken him back.
