Fans of Sacha Baron Cohen must have known to expect nothing less of their idol than to crash the Cannes Film Festival to promote his latest film, “The Dictator” – which is precisely what he did.

Famous for not coming out of character until he's done promoting a film, the comedian arrived in Cannes hours ago as General Aladeen and he more than made sure people would be paying attention.

With him on the yacht was George Clooney's former girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis, who seemed suddenly very attracted to the bearded General.

The Daily Mail has all the photos.

After frolicking for the cameras, the two got into a fight after the good General showed Elisabetta what he was working with and she had the Audacity to make fun of him.

The television personality was dragged away by the General's guards and, next thing you know, her body was dropped overboard, wrapped in a plastic bag.

Later on, the General made his entrance at the film festival on a camel, accompanied by fierce looking female soldiers. No one will dare make fun of him now.
