Sony Ericsson has just announced the new winner of their Sony Ericsson Xperia Hot Shots competition in the person of Sabine Lisicki from Germany.

As the winner of mobile phone maker's competition, Sabine Lisicki received a life-changing support prize worth €100,000, the company announced.

Six months ago, long-term Sony Ericsson ambassador Maria Sharapova unveiled the six women’s tennis players that make up the Xperia Hot Shots, just before the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami in March this year.

In this competition, Sabine Lisicki battled world-class tennis players such as Bethanie Mattek-Sands (USA), Heather Watson (UK), Alize Cornet (France), Sorana Cirstea (Romania) and Dominika Cibulkova (Slovakia).

“Being an Xperia Hot Shot has been the best thing that’s ever happened to me! My highlight of the campaign has got to be meeting David Guetta,” Sabine Lisicki commented on her win.

“I can’t thank all of my fans and Sony Ericsson enough for their amazing support throughout the whole campaign – I wouldn’t be here without them!”

All these stars were par of various exciting tasks and challenges, and had to work with talented musicians around the world, as well as with designers and entertainers.

The Xperia Hot Shots had an action-packed season, Sony Ericsson notes. They played tennis in the sky with Gary Lineker and DJing with world-class D David Guetta, wore tennis ball dresses created by Lady Gaga’s fashion designer Alex Noble, and did other things as well.

“The Sony Ericsson Xperia Hot Shots campaign has been a great success and has been innovative and exciting throughout,” Stephan Croix, head of Global Marketing Partnerships at Sony Ericsson said.

“We have attracted over 820,000 fans on Facebook and 3 million views on YouTube since we launched in March and it has provided them with the chance to get closer to the WTA players and celebrities as they have embarked on the numerous challenges and stunts throughout the year.

“We hope that fans have enjoyed the campaign as much as we have. We will continue to drive Sony Ericsson as the leader in entertainment through our partnerships.”
