"The Sabily team is proud to announce the release of Sabily 9.04, codename "Taibah". Sabily is the new name of Ubuntu Muslim Edition, the Operating System designed by and for Muslims (but non-Muslims are very welcome to use it too)."

i wold like to try it but firs what r the advantages of this version comparing to ubuntu 9.04

Comment #1.1 by: Daniel Pop-Silaghi on 15 May 2009, 08:58 GMT

There is no difference in terms of stability and performance. The advantage comes in the form of a system that was tailored for Muslims, with applications and artwork that aim to improve their computing experience. Moreover, there is a quite nice selection of educational and multimedia software available in the default installation, so maybe that will appeal to you.

sabily 9.04 is essentially ubuntu 9.04 with more stuff. if u have ubuntu 9.04 you could just use the terminal and apt-get the desktop environment and have all of it added on. same thing as ubuntu just more software.
