Just two weeks after announcing Sabayon Linux 4.1 GNOME Edition, Fabio Erculiani released today, April 29th, the KDE edition of his Linux distribution. Sabayon Linux 4.1 KDE is based on Sabayon 4 LiteMCE and brings the same usability and out-of-the-box experience, this time on top of the latest KDE 4.2.2 desktop environment. The Linux kernel used is a customized 2.6.29.1 one, bringing EXT4 support and compatibility with a lot of devices and components. Also, fans will be happy to hear that Sabayon Live DVD's size was halved from almost 4 GB to less than 2 GB.

· Spritz package manager 0.52.8

· XBMC 8.10

In order to run Sabayon Linux 4 LiteMCE on your personal computer, make sure that you meet the minimum system requirements:

· Intel Pentium Pro, Celeron, AMD K6-2, Pentium II or Athlon CPU
· 512 MB of RAM
· 16 GB of free hard disk space
· Supported 2D video card
· a DVD reader

However, the Sabayon Linux team recommends the following system requirements for an optimal performance:

· Dual Core Processor (Intel Core 2 Duo or better, AMD Athlon 64 X2 or better)
· 1 GB of RAM
· 32 GB of free hard disk space
· Supported 3D video card (Nvidia, AMD or Intel)
· a DVD reader

I've never tried this flavor of linux but I must admit that their artwork and dark look really appeals to me. I might give it a shot over the next few months, thanks for the preview.
