Developers show new in-game tricks and real world attempts

EA Sports is eager to show that at least some of the tricks included in the upcoming SSX snowboard simulation are possible in the real world. So this week it released two trailers for the game, one based in the virtual world and one in snowy Europe.

The Uber Signature trailer for the video game shows off the Superman Barspin as performed by Moby Jones, one of the virtual characters that players will be able to control and customize in SSX.

But the team at Electronic Arts also took a real world performer, Scott Penman, who is one of the leading pro snowboarders in the United Kingdom, and sent him to the snow covered city of Kopaonik in order to try some in-game tricks and see what happens.

SSX will be playable on the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft on February 28 in North America and March 2 in Europe.
