SSX Soundtrack Revealed, Includes Lots of Different Artists and Tracks

Electronic Arts is preparing to unleash SSX, the newest iteration in the long running snowboarding simulator franchise, and has now revealed the list of songs that are included in the game’s soundtrack.

The SSX series has delighted lots of fans with great gameplay, as well as top notch music, with SSX Tricky setting the bar with great licensed songs, as well as special compositions designed to make going down the perilous virtual slopes that much more exciting.

With the new SSX, we’ve already heard some of the tracks that will be included in the game, like Skrillex’s special remix of Run-DMC’s It’s Tricky song.

Now, the company has listed the full soundtrack from the upcoming game, which includes 36 songs and 10 original tracks. All sorts of artists representing different genres are included in this OST, from the aforementioned Skrillex to Camo & Krooked, DJ Shadow or Noisia.

"SSX has always been one of EA's most music intensive, genre diverse and sonically adventurous titles,” Steve Schnur, EA's worldwide music executive, said. "The songs on this new soundtrack cover ground from indie rock, dub step, hip-hop, drum + bass and beyond. As fans of the ultimate snowboarding franchise have come to expect, our artists range from top cutting-edge stars to tomorrow's hottest underground acts. Ultimately, it's a soundtrack full of next-level music that is totally ripe for discovery."

In case some of these tracks aren’t to your liking, the game also allows players to upload their own playlists to SSX and create custom soundtracks.

The final game is out on February 28, in North America, and March 2, in Europe, for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
