SSX, the snowboard-based action title from EA Sports, has managed to top the United Kingdom chart during its debut week, showing that players are interested in the rebooted series and in the mix of tricks and adrenaline that it can deliver.

SSX takes the core of the series and updates the graphics, while adding customizable options for all riders and exciting new mountains to slide down on.

FIFA 12, the football simulation that was launched in late September 2011, has managed to make it a one-two for EA Sports by grabbing the second position in the United Kingdom chart, coming up two positions from fourth.

The last position on the podium was occupied by the Nintendo-made Mario Party 9 which arrived for the Wii home console, showing that despite slowing sales the hardware can still power a successful game launch.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss, the Sony Computer Entertainment published game for the PlayStation Vita handheld, has slid down to fourth place in the United Kingdom, after topping the chart last week.

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games from SEGA has managed to take fifth place after climbing up one position from sixth while UFC Undisputed 3 from THQ has occupied sixth position with its fight moves after sliding down from third.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the first-person shooter from Infinity Ward and publisher Activision Blizzard, is in seventh place this week, climbing up one position from eighth, while the PlayStation Vita managed to get another top ten entry with FIFA Football, created by EA Sports.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, the open-world action game from Ubisoft, has re-entered the top ten while Battlefield 3, yet another EA Games title, closes down the United Kingdom chart.

Syndicate, Rayman Origins and Final Fantasy XIII-2 are out of the top ten.
