Electronic Arts has confirmed that it will release a special demo for SSX, its upcoming snowboarding simulator, next week, on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.

SSX delighted millions of players throughout the years but it’s now getting ready for a full-fledged reboot, in the form of the simply-named SSX.

We’ve already heard quite a few details about the new title, including things about its Online Pass or its soundtrack.

Now, SSX creative director Todd Batty confirmed during a broadcast on website Livecast that a demo for the game would appear on February 21, for the Xbox 360, and one day later, on February 22, for the PlayStation 3.

In the demo players will be able to control Zoe, although another character, Mac, can be unlocked if you convince a friend to download the free trial.

The demo consists of two tutorials, four events, and a quick skydiving portion, in order to show off just what the new SSX is all about.

The final game is out on February 28, in North America, and March 2, in Europe, for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
